History Journal
Jazirah: Journal of Civilization and Culture was first published in December 2020 as a scholarly platform dedicated to discussions on civilization and cultural studies. Since its inception, the journal has maintained a biannual publication schedule, releasing issues in June and December each year. Prior to its first issue, Jazirah obtained both its Print ISSN (2716-4454) and Electronic ISSN (2774-3144) in February 2020. In the same month, the journal also began assigning Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to all past and future articles through Crossref, reflecting its commitment to academic integrity and global accessibility.
In its effort to strengthen academic collaboration, Jazirah established a partnership with the Indonesian Historians Society (Masyarakat Sejarawan Indonesia) in January 2024, followed by a collaboration with ITTIHAD MUDARRISI AL-LUGHAH AL-‘ARABIYYAH in February 2024. Demonstrating its consistent quality and scholarly contribution, the journal was officially accredited with SINTA 4 status in March 2025. Moving forward, Jazirah implemented two significant changes starting in August 2025: the introduction of an article processing charge (APC) for publication, and a shift in publication frequency from biannual to triannual, allowing the journal to accommodate a growing number of high-quality submissions and further enhance its impact in the academic community.
