Publication Ethics

Journal is a scientific publication that contains writings from the results of research, development, studies, and thoughts in the field of child education. This statement of scientific code is a statement of all parties involved in the publication process in the journal Jazirah including managers, editors, bestari partners, and writers. This statement of code of ethics for scientific publications is based on the Regulation of the Head of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications. Three ethical values ​​in publications that are upheld in the ethical codes of scientific publications include:

1. Neutrality, which is free from conflicting interests in the management of publications;
2. Justice, namely giving authorship rights to those entitled as authors;
3. Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism.

The Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications guides Jazirah's Journal Managers, Editors, bestari partners, authors / writers, and third parties / sponsors in the scientific journal publication system to always adhere to the ethical code, follow standards and accept responsibility for good scientific publications management practices.

Jazirah Journal Manager

Has the duties and responsibilities:

1. Determine the name of the journal, scope of science, scholarship, and accreditation if necessary.
2. Determine editorial board membership.
3. Define the relationships between publishers, editors, bestari partners, and other parties.
4. Respect confidential matters for contributing researchers, authors, editors, and bestari partners.
5. Apply norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyrights.
6. Do a journal policy review and present it to the author, the editorial board, bestari partners, and readers.
7. Make code guides for bestari editors and partners.
8. Publish journals regularly.
9. Guarantee the availability of financial resources for the sustainability of journal publishing.
10. Building a network of cooperation and marketing.

Editor of the Jurnal Jazirah

Has duties and responsibilities:

1. To meet the needs of readers and authors / writers.
2. Strive to improve the quality of publications on an ongoing basis.
3. Implement a process to guarantee the quality of published papers.
4. Promoting freedom of opinion objectively.
5. Maintaining the integrity of the academic track record of the author / writer.
6. Submit corrections, clarifications, withdrawals, and apologies if needed.
7. Responsible for the style and format of the paper, while the contents and all statements in the paper are the responsibility of the author.
8. Actively soliciting the opinions of authors, readers, bestari partners, and editorial board members to improve the quality of publications.
9. Encourage the evaluation of journals whenever there are findings.
10. Support initiatives to reduce research and publication errors by asking authors to attach an ethical clearance form that has been approved by the Ethics Clearing Commission.
11. Support initiatives to educate researchers about publication ethics.
12. Reviewing the effects of published policies on the attitudes of authors and bestari partners, and improving them to increase responsibility and minimize errors.
13. Having an open mind to new opinions or the views of others that may conflict with personal opinions.
14. Do not defend the opinion of yourself, the author, or a third party that can lead to decisions that are not objective.
15. Encourage authors to be able to make improvements to the paper to be published.

Mitra Bestari Jurnal Jazirah

Has duties and responsibilities:

1. Obtain the task of the editor to review the paper and submit the results of the review to the editor as material for determining the eligibility of a paper to be published.
2. The paper is reviewed in a timely manner according to the style of the publication's environment based on scientific principles (data collection methods, author's legality, conclusions, etc.).
3. Re-examine the paper that has been repaired in accordance with predetermined standards.
4. Encourage authors to make improvements to the paper by providing criticism, suggestions, input, and recommendations.
5. Maintaining the privacy of the author by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions, and recommendations.
6. Bestari partners may not conduct research on written works involving themselves, either directly or indirectly.

Author Journal Article

Has duties and responsibilities:

1. The author ensures that those included in the list of authors meet the criteria as an author.
2. The author is collectively responsible for the work and content of the article including the method, analysis, calculation and details.
3. The author states the origin of the resources (including funding) both directly and indirectly.
4. The author explains the limitations in research.
5. The author responds promptly to comments made by bestari partners in a professional and timely manner.
6. The author informs the editor if he will retract his writing.
7. The author respects if there is a request from the publisher not to publish the findings either in the form of interviews or through other media before being published by the publisher.
8. The author informs the editor about (a number of) papers which are part of a phased, multi-disciplinary, and different perspective study
